Les Pavots

Estate Vineyard
Knights Valley, Sonoma County

Spanning 64 acres, Les Pavots ascends to an elevation of 1,400 feet on the west side of Mount St. Helena. Merlot and Cabernet Franc grow on the cool upper slopes and Cabernet Sauvignon grows just below. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc are grown alongside our Les Pavots Bordeaux red varietals at about 1,400 feet. The subsoil is rocky, volcanic Rhyolite covered by a silt alluvium. The name means “The Poppies,” after the California poppies that grow wild on the estate and are the inspiration for the winery’s logo.
