Belle Côte

Wines Produced from the Belle Côte Vineyard

Belle Côte

Estate Vineyard
Knights Valley, Sonoma County

Located directly adjacent to La Carrière, Belle Côte has thicker soils and an eastern facing exposure. The naturally cool climate of its high elevation, and the shelter from the hot afternoon sun provided by its southeastern exposure and a stand of trees on its western border, cause the vines to ripen exceptionally slowly. For this site, the growing season typically extends into October (two to three weeks longer than most Chardonnay vineyards in Napa and Sonoma counties). The name translates to “Beautiful Slope.”
