We fund Peter Michael Foundation Fellowships at UCSF, Stanford Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center & Duke Cancer Institute. Since nationally funded budgets are decreasing, private foundations such as ours are more important than ever. We want to support the important successes and breakthroughs in prostate cancer research being carried out by talented scientists at top medical centers.
We raise funds by partnering with celebrated chefs to create intimate, multi-course dinners in stunning locations throughout the country. Peter Michael wines are paired with each course, and dinner is followed by a Bonhams live auction. Guests can meet the physician-scientists funded by the PMF Fellowship Grants. Proceeds from the events fund pioneering research at world-class institutions.
Our office is in Sausalito, CA with three staff: Walter Menzel (Executive Director), Jenny Koehler & Juli Tantum. We interact with donors on a daily basis, offer referrals when possible, and continually look for new ventures that will have a dramatic impact on men’s health.
